Pro-Bolt first introduced standard titanium fasteners, for the constant quest of Race Teams to reduce unsprung weight, they proved an instant hit in BSB and WSB. Further development with some of the top teams resulted in the launch of our Race Spec range. This range allows for a reduction in the socket size/head diameter, where possible a wasted shank and incorporates a scooped and drilled head producing up to 45% weight saving over manufacturer’s original equipment. This can equate to a 2 kilo weight reduction on a superbike which is why they have proved a must for the very top teams.

With the advent of Moto2 these fasteners are used by chassis manufacturers FTR Moto and reigning Moto2 Champions Suter Racing Technology with who we are an official partner. From 2011 we are also delighted to be an official partner of the Castrol Honda Racing Team (WSB) and the Honda World Motocross Team.

Customer demand for the weight advantages of .Race Spec. but a more cosmetic appeal resulted in us producing .Race Spec Stainless Steel.. These bolts have the same high tech looks and are machined to the same standards but are more pleasing on the eye when weight reduction is not the only goal.

Regulations in some forms of racing insist that pad pins and caliper bolts are stainless steel and drilled for mandatory lockwiring. By the time these regulations had been introduced Pro-Bolt had produced pad pins to this specification and these are widely used by teams globally, most notably at the TT, Manx GP and American Superbikes.
